I read your "Is Safari faster?" article, you have a lot of good points and
discoverys in it.
As for testing browsers I think the only reliable way is to use a screen
recorder (I like [brand]) and the onscreen keyboard (Safari don't have a go
button) and then crop the video to see how long it takes.
This is practically like using a stop watch but without the reaction time
involved.
About the keynote test with iBench one definite flaw was to run both
browsers at the same time one may have higher priority settings then the
other and they will be fighting for system resources which could lead to
very incorrect results.
I intend to do some detailed testing of the major browsers using this method
in a week or so, if you like I could send you the results.

An interesting approach. Very difficult for automating, but good for a
one-off set of tests. Thanks for sharing.
