Subject | Problem with inserting a Nested list collapsing script into a table |
Date | 22 November 2004 14:02 |
Hi
It probably is a very stupid question but I don't how to work it out. I
used your Nested list collapsing script outside a table and it works fine,
and did the same inside a table (the <ul> and <li>s) and it doesn't work at
all. It only shows as a normal bulleted list. What am I missing here?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx
Cris

Cris,
If you are referring to the style of the list being wrong;
This is probably due to a known bug/quirk in IE. Styles do not inherit into
tables, even though they are supposed to. IE 6 will get it right but only
if you use a strict doctype. Opera and Mozilla/Firefox also mirror this
behaviour deliberately so they will cope with pages that are specifically
tailored to this IE bug.
If you are referring to the script not working;
The script should work no matter where it is, but make sure that each list
has a unique ID and that you are targetting just this one ID.
Do you have a page where I could see this?
