Mark,

I'm hoping to build up an "Internet Explorer Removal Taskforce" on
[newsgroup] - a place for vocal opponents of the browser to collaborate and
share ideas on how to speed it's demise. One of the key things I want to do
is provide meaningful information for corporates (where most of the MSIE
hives still exist) and found your "wrongWithIE" pages to be an excellent
resource in terms of helping them understand the underlying issues of the
browser, especially older versions.

I'm writing to ask:

a) Can we link to your site or re-use some of your content?
b) Would you be interested in participating in the group?

The [newsgroup], recently founded, is here: [URL]

Guy

Generally, I don't see this sort of group as likely to be successful. I
do think it would be nice if your goal was reached, but quite simply it
never will. IE will not die, and it's not worth pretending it will.
While you may get an occasional success (and that is worth pursuing) it
is so heavily ingrained in the infrastructure of major companies and
military organisations, that there is no hope that they will be
persuaded otherwise.

Unfortunate though this situation is, my time is best spent helping Web
developers to accept the situation, and to teach them how to write Web
pages accordingly in a way that works in all the current browsers. IE
included.
