Your javascript sliders, like the ones I have made myself and others seen
around the web don't work in Safari. Do you have any idea why (someone
mentioned the universal drag- and drop-facility of Mac OS as a possible
culprit)?

Jon,
My sliders work perfectly in Safari. I have panther (OS X 10.3) with Safari
1.1, and my sliders work here. I have also had other people saying they
work fine. I suspect that you have a problem with your installation of
Safari and/or Mac OS X. If the ones on my demo page do not work for you
then your installation or your system configuration is the problem.

What versions of OS X and Safari are you using, and do you have any
accessibility features turned on (take a look in system preferences -
universal access)?

I am sorry - I never tried your script in Mac, I will try it tomorrow. I
just misinterpreted your compatibility table:
KHTML (Konqueror, Safari, OmniWeb 4.5+): This does not work in Konqueror 2
