Subject==> Your Page: http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/jslibs/ Question about 'link rel' <==
Date2 February 2005 16:15
[the header section of my jslibs page showing the alternate stylesheets]

I have been banging away for an age trying to get a page template to be
able to accommodate the various styles that will help sight-challenged
readers be able to use them easily.

I also spend a lot of time in the 'back end' of web pages to see how
certain things are achieved.

This said, my question is: ARE THE FOLLOWING LINKS ACTIVE IN YOUR PAGE?
[the alternate stylesheet link tags]

----- as there doesn't appear to be stylesheets of those names that respond
to the call!

About your Robot Warning .htm

I use a host that has many plans:
Basic: 20Megs storage, 1 gig/month traffic = $0.00
Ultra: 20 GIGS storage, unlimited traffic = $10/month (approx)

[hosting service]

The e-mail address, in case you wondered, is the 'free end' of a VPN that
originates here in VietNam and is used to reduce the opportunity for our
ever inquisitive VietNam police to know everything!

Jon,

> ARE THE FOLLOWING LINKS ACTIVE IN YOUR PAGE?

The stylesheets are there, but they are 'alternate stylesheets' meaning
that they will be disabled by default. Good browsers will be able to enable
them using the browser's 'view' menu or using the dropdown box on the page.
For further details, see my demo page:

By the way, your computer clock is set to 2003, so your email was burried
back in my archives - would be useful if you correct your clock to show
2005 :)

Thanks, but I am happy with my current situation - it is run by a good
friend of mine. I actually have high bandwidth allowance (generally as much
as I need - way over 1 GB, and I have 4 sites hosted there, costing much
less than your service could offer), but I reduce it to be nice to my host
- I get an excellent service.
