Hi,
I am trying to use scrollingoffset to position a popup. I can make the
popup work based on mouse position as demonstrated at
http://xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx/xxxxx/xxxxxxx.xxx
The problem is the popup can be hidden if the window is not in just the
right position, so I tried using your script to position in the visible
area here
http://xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx/xxxxx/xxxxxx.xxx
and can't make it work. Any help will be appreciated. You said that you
don't want money, but I don't mind paying for your time. If you won't
take it I will donate to your favorite charity.
The original script is found at
http://xxxx.xxxxxxx.xxx/xxxx.xxxx
I am using IE6 which is also specified for my client.
[Ed. Please don't send me crap like that! I am an Opera user. Having people
say "Can you fix this site so that we can see it - we don't care if you
can't see it though" does not exactly inspire me to help.]
Thanks,
Mike

I sent the following message a couple of weeks ago. At the time I sent it,
there was no urgency, however, now I am running out of time. Can you take a
look and provide some advice? If you have already responded, I must have
missed your reply, please resend.
Thanks

Attachment | fixed version of the script |
Michael,
my apologies - I thought I had replied to this email, but I had
accidentally filed it by mistake.
I take it that you are saying that you want the notes to appear below the
mouse. However, if the page has not scrolled far enough for it to fit, you
want it to appear higher, so that it is all visible.
well, because of the way the script has been split into pieces, this is not
so easy for me to send a modified version, but I can give it a try.
I have attached an updated script that should fix its vertical positioning.
If you need the horizontal position to have the same sort of fix, that is a
bit more difficult, and you should consult the original author of the
script and ask them to modify it.
Hope this helps
