Hi
Congratulations on your excellent site. You may be interested in a
product I have just released, a Javascript authoring tool called
[Product Name]. It is bascially a HTML and Javascript editor with a built-in
Javascript parser. I developed it over the last three years to assist my
teaching of Javascript as a first language. If you would like to try it,
and maybe recommend it to your users, that would be great. Any feedback
welcome. If you would consider reciprocal links, I would be very happy to
oblige.
Thanks

Paul,
Your tool does look pretty good, and in fact I approve of the fact that it
is not WYSIWYG, but in fact, a proper authoring tool with syntax
highlighing. The fact that it can validate scripts is an added bonus.
But I am afraid that I have a policy of not including any adverts of any
kind on my pages, and therefore cannot recommend this product to any of my
readers. The fact that your product is not free means that I would simply
be a source of free advertising.
Sorry

No problems, I have linked to your site anyway because it is such a high
standard.
Another way of looking at the 'simply being a source of free
advertising' is that if you refer someone to a tool that will help
them, it is still good advice and beneficial to the recipient. If
someone asks me what to use for developing web pages I suggest
[a specific WYSIWYG code generator] because I believe it is currently the
best tool. I have no interest in [the company that writes it] or if the
asker eventually buys [the specific WYSIWYG code generator] or whatever.
Regardless, keep up the good work!
Cheers
Paul

Thankyou.

And I assure you that I will do the same for your product. As I said, I
like the look of what you have written, and I do think it would be
extremely helpful to JavaScript developing. So if someone asks me for a
JavaScript development tool, I will point them in your direction.
