Hi
I had an online booking system created for me a few years ago and it
has worked fine on a site we had running. Recently we upgraded the
server to php 5 and the script stopped working. Ouch! I cannot install
the script because that seems to have stopped working as well.
It is actually a whole lot of files as you can imagine and I don't
know how to edit php. I am thinking of learning! In the meantime, it
is a lot of files but I wonder whether you would look at them to see
if you can get them going or update them to work with php 5 or do you
know someone I could write to please?
Thanks.

Since you got someone else to write it for you, they are probably the best
person to fix it. If they are unable to do so, and you want to avoid doing
it for yourself, I suggest you contact a suitable Web development company. I
have no recommendations, since I do not use any such companies myself.

This is the best option. I assume you are asking because you are no longer
able to get the original author to maintain it. Maintenance of such code can
be very expensive if you keep paying external companies to do it for you,
but with the investment of a small amount of your own time (PHP takes a
couple of months to learn well enough), you can save yourself the longer
term costs.
