Subjectexception to terms of use for embedded web site?
Date21 September 2004 01:09
hi there,

i'm a software engineer involved in the creation of a product that is
configurable via an embedded web server. i'd like to use a script or two
from your site, so i'd like to know how your terms and conditions apply to
the case of an embedded web server. the customer for this product will not
allow any visible link to http://www.howtocreate.co.uk, so is it possible
for you to waive the requirement of having a page contain this link? (an
embedded web server would not help search engine rankings anyway). it is
possible however to include your terms and conditions information in the
javascript source file.

regards,

  russ smith.

I have not included my response here because there is no single answer to this kind of question. I will consider every such request on a case-by-case basis.

If you have a similar request, please see the notes on using my scripts as part of a bundled software package.
