Hello Tarquin,
Has this bug been reported in Connect, as I couldn't find it? If it hasn't,
I'm happy to file it on your behalf if you don't have reporting permissions.
I'd also like to add it to my IE8 bugs page once a report has been filed.

OK, I'm happy to submit a bug report on your behalf.
I certainly don't agree with Microsofts stance regarding the *closed* Beta
programme, which is why I'm happy for people to write in to me with bugs
they encounter. It's almost as if Microsoft wants to minimise the amount of
bug reports it receives.
